Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension of Narrative Text Through Directed Reading-Thinking Activity Strategy

This study aim was to find out how directed reading-thinking activity strategy could improve students’ reading comprehension of narrative text. The applied teach the ninth grade students SMPS Awaluddin in academic year 2021/2022. a classroom action research. research findings showed that paid attention teacher’s explanation, were very active and brave ask teacher, looked enthusiastic understood text through strategy. It also proven by individual test, which their scores got increase because many score 72 until 84 included good category, two 88 92 as excellent category. Therefore, it can be concluded reading- thinking successfully improved researcher hopes this is used teachers teaching comprehension.
